Q: Why should I call to place a Rx order?

A: We want to make sure you get what works best for you with consideration
to your Rx, needs, head size, style choice, etc. By talking with you we can advise
you on what will work the best. We just don't want to sell you glasses, we want
to sell you the best glasses you ever had.

Q: How long will my prescription sunglasses take to make?

A: Most custom orders take 2 to 3 weeks.* Lenses with a mirror may take up to
one month. Some insert sytems may be made same day in store, depending on
your RX. Please allow up to one week.
*During peak times orders may take a week or two longer. This is due to everything
being fully custom and not stock. Every set of lenses is hand-finished.

Q: How will Sports Optical charge my card and ship my order?

A: We will take a credit card number when you place the order. We will
charge the card when the order is placed. We usually ship UPS Ground
unless you have other needs. Please ask about other shipping options.

Q: Do you take insurance?

A: Due to the custom nature of these lenses, we do not take any insurance
at this time. Most insurance providers use a centralized lab. Sports Optical
finishes all lenses in-house. We are happy to provide you with an itemized
receipt that you may pass on to your insurance provider.

Q: May I use my own frame, and buy the prescription lenses from you?

A: Please call with your prescription and frame details so we may confirm
that everything will work out ok.

Q: What warranty does Sports Optical offer on the frames I purchase?

A: All frames will come with a manufacturer's warranty of at least one
year, often longer. All frame problems should be handled through the
manufacturer. This guarantee covers legitimate manufacturing defects, not
abuse or normal wear and tear.

Q: What warranty does Sports Optical offer on my prescription lenses?

A: All lenses come with a one year manufacturer's warranty. As with frames,
this covers maunfacturer's defects, such as breakage. This does not cover
scratched lenses. With proper care, your lenses should last a long time.

All of our lenses include a scratch resistant coating. For an additional $50 we
will add another scratch coat layer and offer a 2 year one-time replacement.

Q: How should I care for my lenses?

A: Always moisten lenses before cleaning. Use a lens cleaner spray or water.
Only mild soap should be used. Use only a soft cloth such as cotton or microfiber
for lens cleaning. Do not use and paper products or moist towelettes.

Q: What guarantee do you offer if I experience vison problems with my new
glasses?

A: Problems are very rare due to years of refinement of our technology and
lens options. If you continue to experience problems, we offer a 100%
credit towards another precription system which will work, such as an
insert system. (Rudy Project RB3, Adidas Evil Eye)
If you feel things are just not working for you, and choose not to
explore other options, we offer a 50% refund on the original purchase
price of the prescription lenses.
